You probably want to know a little more about me, the Nicci behind Nicci The Stylist.
Well, I’m a wife, mum to 2 gorgeous kiddos and a quietly determined woman with an eye for great style. I live and work right by the sea on the beautiful Dorset Coast.
I’m a fully qualified Personal Stylist & Colour Analyst, earning 2 Diplomas with distinction from the London College of Style.
I absolutely loved the learning journey with LCS and remember thinking why didn’t I do this years ago? But I believe there is a path for each of us and ‘Nicci The Stylist’ came when the time was right.
This role brings me so much joy. I have had some fantastic opportunities such as living my childhood dream of working at London Fashion Week. I’m blessed to meet different people every day and share what I absolutely love. In return, I help people feel incredible about themselves. It’s wins all around.
When I’m not faffing with clothes or scouring e-commerce sites, you can usually find me running at the beach or wading into the water for a cold sea dip.
I love sunrise starts, a cinnamon swirl and I order an oat latte.
I enjoy fizz with friends and an excuse to dress fancy.
But I’m equally as happy at home with a giant sketch pad and a pack of “nice pens” to list away my evening. Those who can relate will be chuckling right now!
Many elements of personal style link to well-being and it’s all about finding balance. When we feel comfortable and glamorous, our confidence soars so we can take on anything we put our minds to.
Playing dress-up begins at age five and never truly ends
– KATE SPADE

Clothing has always been my thing. A comfort, an armour and a way to speak without having to say anything. I haven’t always been as confident as I am now but many times being appropriately and comfortably dressed for the occasion meant that I could hold my own when things got overwhelming.
From creating outfits on my fashion wheel (if you don’t know what this is have a quick google) to personalising clothing and sewing hundreds of individual beads onto a top before a night out. It turns out, there weren’t many people that did that kind of thing. But I needed my clothing to feel like me. I was never a loud personality, but it was important that my look reflected what I was about. Little did I know then, but that is the essence of personal styling.
I was determined to land a role in fashion buying and merchandising. I did not have a fashion-related degree but that would not stop me! The perseverance paid off and for much of my career, I have worked in buying, merchandising & product development roles for some huge brands including Thomas Pink, Whistles, Hobbycraft and Organix. Fashion, creativity and sustainability are 3 of the most important things to me and that is down to the wealth of knowledge and experience I have gained along the way.
Is to bust the myth that personal styling is unattainable or you have to be a certain kind of personality, shape or size to look and feel great. I want to help as many people as possible to feel their best self and find confidence in the way they dress.
By learning about yourself, connecting with what is on the inside, you can confidently portray what you want to on the outside and anything is possible.
